Licensing my Art, SURTEX and The Atlanta Gift Show

I have been licensing my art for almost nine years now. My first Surtex Art Licensing Show was in 2012 and I have shown with my agents, MHS Licensing ever since. The industry has changed a lot since I first started, but I continue to have amazing partners and great programs that keep me motivated and moving forward. My work has been on many products from dinnerware and home decor to stationery and gift products. I feel really blessed to be able to work in this industry, it's been a wild ride for sure. I just spent the last couple of months getting ready for Surtex 2020 at the Javits Center in NYC. I'll be heading up there on Saturday to hang out with my agents at their booth, meet with licensing partners, hang with my artist friends and walk the National Stationery Show and NY Now, which is one of the big gift shows. I sent my agents my new art collections yesterday and am happy to be taking today off.

Here's a sneak peek at some new art that will debut at SURTEX:

I don't talk about my licensing career as much as I should. I know there are a lot of artists out there selling workshops and classes about how to get into it all. I guess I don't do that because I know it's not an easy business to be in. It's a lot of hard work and you really never know how much money you are going to make or if you are going to make anything at all. I take it all with a grain of salt and a shit ton of gratitude. I share when I get samples in the mail or see my stuff out in the stores, but try to not get carried away with it all and just keep working hard and hope it will keep going in the most amazing ways possible.

You can see some recent examples of my work on my licensing page.

The Atlanta Gift Show just passed and my agents sent me pictures of new products being released. It's always fun to see the finished products! That never gets old. Most of these were taken at the show.

I can't wait to get my samples in the mail! If you are local, stop by my store in Kennett Square. I always have some of my products available for sale.

hugs,

Stephanie
