Three years ago, I stood before my art with a knot in my chest.
I was holding tightly to an overwhelming pile of art pieces that had poured from my spirit… pieces that carried my energy, my joy, my lessons from years and years. They were beautiful, but…I was holding onto them for the wrong reasons: fear, attachment, resistance to the unknown. They were keeping me stuck in the past, too overwhelmed to move forward without clearing this from my path. So I did something bold: I burned them all under the full moon.
That first year, I created a sacred burning ceremony to release what no longer needed to stay with me, and what was blocking my path forward. It was terrifying—and liberating.
Last year, I did it again. And again, this ritual has felt like both a goodbye and a wide-open welcome to new energy. And now, we’re here. Year three!
This burning ceremony has become more than an act of letting go—it’s a ritual, a ceremony, a way to mark the end of a year, and a moment to reflect on what these pieces meant to me, and to you. A sacred clearing for what is yet to come.
This year, on December 30th, under the New Moon in Capricorn
a time of grounding and intentional new beginnings—I will gather the remaining free-flow art pieces I’ve created. I’ll thank them for what they have taught me… And then I’ll release them back into the universal flow through the flames. But before then…I invite you to claim any piece that calls to you to be saved from the cleanse and live on with you each year instead.
